Project Management |
|
Entrust frequently manages projects
valuing several million dollars each. Our
experienced team pulls together application engineering,
design engineers, skilled technicians, outside suppliers
and services to make projects successful. We
follow disciplines of customer design approvals and
produce foundation and facility drawings to ensure other
equipment and activities in our customers plants are
considered. Once engineering is
released for production, our MRP/ERP systems drives
production scheduling from engineering bill of materials
with real-time labor tracking. The same system is
used to issue purchases and component production based
on inventory levels and timing. Cost accounting is
integral to the process as well, which allows us to
provide exact costs and accurate estimating for use on
future jobs.
After the project is complete,
customer support issues are tracked with a SQL database
to link related issues. This provides all engineers and
technicians immediate access to the case details
to resolve the problem and close the case
quickly. This serves as a knowledge base to look
for common issues and makes opportunities for design
improvement visible to the group. |

Mechanical Engineering |
|
Simple Solutions are
the Most Effective Even Though They're Often the
Hardest to Find. We approach new
challenges with an open mind, and draw upon a storehouse of experiences from thousands of
successful projects. We understand the unique
requirements of metal cutting machine tools and design
for many years of trouble free operation in harsh
environments.
Machines and automation are designed in-house with the latest 3D
parametric modeling tools. FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
and dynamic simulations are performed on critical
components to refine engineering and optimize components
for performance and cost.
Complete documentation is a byproduct of
our engineering process. Even custom,
one-of-a-kind designs are delivered with a strong
documentation package for parts identification,
operation and maintenance use. |

Electrical and
Controls Engineering |
|
Simple to
complex, our machine building experience gives us an
edge when developing a solution for industrial control.
We routinely implement complex motion systems using
various standard CNC and PLC platforms.
Our control engineering workflow and
testing provides a very reliable machine regardless of
complexity and operating environment. Control panels are
designed and constructed for compliance with various
norms based on the destination:
 |
USA - Compliance with
NFPA 79 standards of construction for machine
tools and industrial equipment and National
Electric Code (460 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hz). UL
certification is also available. |
 |
Canada - Compliance
with CSA standards of construction relevant to
machine tools and industrial equipment (460 VAC,
3-phase, 60 Hz) |
 |
Mexico - USA standards
with regional adaptation to met NOM requirements
(460 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hz) |
 |
European Union -
Control systems design to comply with applicable
CE directives, risk-assessment and self
certification against technical file prepared by
third party (400 VAC, 3-phase 50 Hz) |
 |
Other - Regulations by
regional authority relevant to machine tools and
industrial equipment will be followed (may
require third party certification at additional
cost) |

Precision Component Manufacturing |
|
Skilled machinists use engineering 3D
CAD data to generate tool paths on our CNC machines, so
economically producing specialized components of
significant dimension and complexity is possible.
Our in-house machine shop can produce
individual parts weighing up to 32 tons, as well as
smaller component manufacturing on multiple pallet
horizontal machining centers and precision CNC turning
machines. |
|
Precision Mechanical Assembly |
|
Machine
assembly is not a simple matter of bolting components
together. Each step of the way, skilled and
experienced machine builders measure alignments and
assure every previous step was completed properly.
We are able to hand scrape components to bring geometry
closer than machining can provide alone. Final
inspection reports are filled out as a reference for
installation and future machine alignment.
Our facility
is equipped for precision assembly:
 |
Climate controlled assembly bays |
 |
Bridge cranes for safe handling of large
components |
 |
Precision alignment instrumentation |
 |
Granite tables, surface plates, precision
squares and levels |
 |
Laser
measurement |
 |
Vibration analysis tools |
|
|
Control Panel and
Machine Wiring |
|
Control panels are wired by our
technicans, following applicable regional standards and
best practices we have developed to ensure machine
reliability. Control panels are tested prior to
transport the machine assembly floor.
Machine wiring is more than connecting
the correct cables and wires. Good routing
decisions comes from experience, and are made based on
environment, vibration, future maintenance and safety.
Quality workmanship in these areas are valued and we
believe it is directly related to machine reliability. |
|
Fluid Power System
Manufacturing and Integration |
Machine reliability, long term durability and
maintenance requirements are often determined by the
quality of the fluid systems provided by the equipment
manufacturer. Entrust engineers the machine fluid
systems with attention to detail, driven by our service
experience.
 |
Hydraulic power
and control systems for machine actuators and
motion |
 |
Closed lubrication
systems with temperature control for precision
gear trains and spindles, open systems for slide
way lubrication |
 |
Refrigerant
circuits for integral motor spindle cooling |
 |
Cutting oil
delivery systems up to 200 bar (3000 psi)
operating pressure and 20,000 liter (5,290
gallon) capacity |
