Deep Hole Drilling Machine Tools―USC Series

USC75-BTA

USC50-BTA

|details|

CNC Column-Type Deep Hole Drilling

The USC series CNC column-type deep hole drilling machines are designed for machining very large, complex workpieces typically seen in the mold, oilfield and aerospace industries.

Available in configurations for drilling holes up to 3.0" diameter from solid and counterboring to 4.25" diameter with depths more than 80" with gundrill tooling and 100" with BTA tooling.

Workpiece capacity is available up to 50 tons with rotary table options to machine four sides of workpiece and angled features. An auxiliary spindle for milling, drilling, tapping and other boring mill operations is also available.

Coolant systems are designed for close integration with the machine CNC, with programmable flow, and pressure for machining high diameter-to-depth ratio holes and reliable cross-hole drilling.

Aggressive penetration rates in tough materials are possible due to the machine structure, horsepower and available geared headstocks.

Features

Hardened steel and roller guideways
Precision ballscrews
Digital servo drives
Optional Heidenhain scales for increased positioning accuracy
